Formed by Erik Wunder of Cobalt, Man's Gin finds him in a decidedly different but no less captivating light. 'Smiling Dogs' is good old singer-songwriter stuff, reminiscent of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds meets acoustic Alice In Chains meets Tom Waits meets Drive By Truckers, but only truly recognizable as Man's Gin, which already carves out its own niche in this realm...

Judgment Day is a string-metal band. Vintage effects pedals, improvisation and orchestral arrangements are all key components, broadening the scope of the record's songs from the deep, dark depths of brutal metal to the iridescent grandeur of outer space.
DETI PICASSO The Moscow based Deti Picasso plays an unusual sort of music in Russia - head-spinning and sharp, with strong ethnic roots, psychodelia and hypnotic energy. Incredibly expressive female vocals, transparent guitar music and a soft cello sound are mixed with rough psychedelic tunes. Ancient Armenian chants and songs recorded with the academic string quartet blend with new forms of guitar sound, where the guitar player uses spoons, forks and radio as musical instruments. The music is extremely fresh, original, extraordinary and captivatingly sincere.
Sole Remedy is a progressive-melancholic-metal band from Lahti, Finland. Sole Remedy steps firmly into the progressive metal genre without much effort, but at the same time, it’s hard to pigeonhole the band in just one genre. Much akin to Disillusion (and their fabulous Back to the Times of Splendor), Sole Remedy combines a wide variety of inspirations into a quantum that’s diverse and progressive – yet still coherent.
The bands’ goal was to create a type of Black Metal incorporating extensive Middle Eastern influences (both musical and lyrical), or in the band’s own words: “Mesopotamian Metal”. (myspace)
