A Gwynbleidd egy viszonylag új, 2002-es formáció, mely eddigi egyetlen anyagán művészi gonddal ötvözi a black-death metal alapokon nyugvó műveit elringató, akusztikus-folkos --megkockáztatom-- bluesos 'megpihenésekkel', így teljesítve ki azt a katartikus érzést, amire az ilyen jellegű muzsikák hivatottak. Amaranthine is their only material in which they meticulously merge their music based on black-death metal with slewing, acoustic-folkesque, dare i say bluesy passages, creating that kind of catartic feeling that these kind of musics are suppossed to create.
