A Murder By Death ilyen csapat. Néhol ironikus, mágikus szövegeik porcukorként rátelepszenek a hangokra, amik felszakadnak a hangszerekből. Nagyon sok stílusból merítenek anyagtáljukba, western - és horror filmek, rock, alt-country vagy akár puritán módon country.

Matanza diszkográfia (countrycore)

Talán mókásnak hathat, de a címben szereplő "countrycore", mint stílusirányzék, egyáltalán nem jár messze a valóságtól. Azonban az tény, hogy sokat dobna az összképen, ha angolul krákogna a csóka, nem portugálul dalolna. Ez alól a To Hell With Johnny Cash című albumuk a kivétel. HC alapú dallamos, javarészt punk-os lendületű nótáik vannak.

Dax Riggs - Say Goodnight To The World

Dax Riggs (born 15 October 1973 in Evansville, Indiana, United States) is an independently-signed singer/songwriter. His diverse musical style encompasses heavy metal, psychedelic rock, blues rock, and post-punk. His distinct lyrical style is characterized by a consumption by darkness, Satanic visions, druggy hallucinations, melancholy, morbid imagery, and a fascination with death in specific, all in an impassioned, raspy baritone that can be largely characterized as nocturnally beautiful in feeling. Dax has lead numerous bands and projects, most famously the legendary Houma, Louisiana sludge band Acid Bath in the 1990s, plus Agents of Oblivion and Deadboy & the Elephantmen. He has an album, 2007’s We Sing Of Only Blood Or Love, under his own name. Since stylistically leaving extreme metal, after the dissolution of Acid Bath, Riggs culls musical influence from classic Black Sabbath-style heavy metal, early-style indie rock, blues-rock, folk-rock, and post-punk, with audible and cited influence from Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen.

The Decemberists -The King Is Dead

The Decemberists are a five-piece indie/folk rock band that formed in 2000 in Portland, Oregon, United States. Named both in reference to the Russian Decembrist Revolt (they use the national anthem of the Soviet Union as an introduction at many concerts) and to the atmosphere associated with the month of December, the Decemberists write songs that range from upbeat pop to instrumentally lush ballads. They often employ instruments like the accordion, Hammond organ, Wurlitzer organ, and upright bass. In their lyrics, they eschew the angst and introspection common to modern rock, instead favoring a storytelling approach.

Voice of the Seven Thunders - Voice of the Seven Thunders

Named after an 1870s tome of lectures on the Apocalypse, Rick Tomlinson’s Voice of the Seven Thunders distills years of divergent musical exploration that followed his much-acclaimed Voice of the Seven Woods debut (Twisted Nerve, 2007). This time around, multi-instrumentalist and sound sculptor Tomlinson has assembled a full-fledged rock group. On their self-titled new release, infernal and primitive energies mingle with the bucolic reveries that won him previous acclaim.

Voice of the Seven Thunders is already drawing comparison to the heyday of ’70s acid rock and the likes of Amon Düül II, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, Japan’s Flower Travellin’ Band, early Pink Floyd, the Velvet Underground’s drone jams, the electronic kosmische of Cluster and the unhinged organic grooves of International Harvester.

Rotfront - Emigrantski Raggamuffin Kollektiv

RotFront is the brainchild of two Berlin emigrantskis. One half of the RussenDisko is Yuriy Gurzhy, who joined forces with Hungarian musician Simon Wahorn, initiator of the HungaroGroover Soundsystem, to create the Emigrantski Raggamuffin Kollektiv RotFront. Founded in 2003, it played its way almost overnight to ranking as Berlin’s ultimate party band. Whether there are seven, twelve or fifteen musicians on stage at any one time – nobody is going to be alone on the dancefloor for long. Right from the start, with the opening songs, the boundary between stage and dancefloor dissolves into nothingness. Rolling back boundaries is RotFront’s mission – and in that sense they are a political band. They may not talk the talk, but they certainly walk the walk: instead of singing about politics, they actually live the easy-going, harmonious interaction of nationalities, ethnicities, musical genres and cultures. And it works. A Ukrainian, two Hungarians, an American, an Australian and five Germans mix Ska, Reggae, Dancehall and Cumbia sounds with Klezmer, Berlin’s own in-your-face brand of Hiphop, Eastern European Turbopolka, Mediterranean melodies and rock riffs. Russian, Hungarian, German and English lyrics tell of life in Berlin and the adventures of immigrants in the city.
