Vaura’s is a New York, USA quartet featuring members of Dysrhythmia, Gorguts, Kayo Dot, Secret Chiefs 3 and Religious to Damn. The group’s difficult to pin down in general, mixing synth-lined post-rock, psychedelia, dark rock, black metal, industrial, acoustic flourishes, and a few Jorge Luis Borges references.

Kong, zúg, búg, brummog, pöfögi fel a pokol jajait, zajait. Sivalkodnak, húznak a térben át tisztítótűzön, miközben egy fekete-fehér film pörög a szemed előtt, ahol a narrátor fojtott hangon közli veled, hogy mit kell látnod s mire kell odafigyelned.

Tegnap Guittard barátom betalált engem új felvételével, ami a régiekhez képest meglepően karcos, kiábrándult és dühös nóta volt, de nagyon tetszett, és eszembe jutott, hogy ez a csóka nekem azért igen nagy kedvencem volt még varázsgarázsos Zéként anno. Akkor is szenteltem neki egy posztot, és most is fogok. Csak röviden: Guittard zenész, író, tanár, hippi, beatnik, világcsavargó, satöbbi, zenéje meg egy kicsit Bob Dylan, kicsit The Byrds, kicsit The Velvet Underground, kicsit Beatles, kicsit Rolling Stones, kicsit Spaceman 3 és nemkicsit The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Nincs kedvem sokat baszakodni vele, INNEN (főleg a California Daze-t ajánlanám) mindent letölthettek, amit ő letölthetővé tett, ITT pedig egy videó a dalról, amit tegnap mutatott nekem. Enjoy.

Az Oneohtrix Pont Never egy, 2007 óta már hat lemezt megért Daniel Lopatin szólópróbálkozása. Ez az album az idei eresztés. Bár a korong egészéből csak egy nagyon vékonyka szeletet tesz ki, de kóstolóként ajánlom a címadó dalt. A Nocte Obducták és az Agrypnie után itt van még egy csapat, ami ehhez a slepphez köthető. Teljesen más vonalon mozog, mint a fentebb nevezett két együttes. Nyugodtabb, kedvesebb s az énekhang, felületes hallgatás után nekem néhol a néhai Peter Steele-t juttatta eszembe.
